Hosta 'Valley's Big Freeze'

J.Linneman 2013 NR.

This is a Valley hosta with the biggest leaves (53 cm long) in Hosta Valley. It belongs to a group of three Valley introductions that came out of seeds from Giant Hostaseeds that was sent By Brian and Virginia Skaggs from Indiana, USA in 2005.

The seeds came from Hosta 'Amos' and 'Empress Wu'. Both the biggest monsters of hostas around at this moment (see article on Giant hostas on this Hostavalley website).

These three  introductions are: Hosta 'Valley's Big Chill' (Amos seedling), Valley's Big Bang (Amos seedling) and Valley's Big Freeze (Empress Wu seedling)
